BLOCKLEY TWO
The challenge of renovating the former dormitory floor of Blockley Hall into the Center for Genetics and Complex Traits is transforming a series of private chambers off a corridor into an inter-related sequence of quality workspaces. Private and open offices for 70 people are provided, with interior glazing used frequently to maximize daylight and connection between researchers. Because collegiality is an important goal for the Center, a shared Break Room and Conference Room are located in the center of the plan along with white boards in the hallways to promote impromptu communications.
