As part of an ongoing effort to free up campus library space for active student uses, the LIBRA project was the second phase of an offsite storage and retrieval facility for library documents. This phase will add about 10,800 SF of storage space housed in 28 feet high double racks with approximately 4.5 foot wide aisles between them. The material on the shelves is accessed by personnel on a lift that negotiates the narrow aisles.
